Sonos has introduced its new PLAY:3 HiFi system, a compact, wireless streaming media HiFi system which has been designed to stream music wirelessly in any room of your home.
Sonos has equipped this device with three Class-D digital amplifiers and three drivers, a tweeter and two 3-inch mid-range in order to provide crisp and clear sound in any room. There’s also a passive, rear-firing bass radiator for rich sound.
Sonos PLAY:3 can connect to the Internet and offer its users access to over 100,000 radio stations and podcasts. You will be able to playback your entire music collection stored on a remote computer or NAS. There is support for almost all popular music streaming services where you can access and even download media. You’ll get access to services such as Last.fm, Napster, Rhapsody, TuneIn and many others.
The Sonos PLAY:3 brings wireless music in any room and is compatible with other Sonos products. You have the option of acquiring another product called SONOS BRIDGE, which can be connected to your router so you can use your Sonos devices wirelessly.
You will also be able to remote control your Sonos player by installing the free App for Android, iPhone and iPad. There is also a free Sonos Controller application for both PC and MAC.
The Sonos PLAY:3 is available right now for $299.

Brite View introduces the new Air SyncHD/DX Wireless A/V transmission kit that’s reportedly able to bring uncompressed HD content from six source to your HDTV.
The Air SyncHD/DX Transmission kit features Brite View’s Transmission Enhancement techhology that will offer 100 feet range for 1080i and 66 feet range for 1080p. The Wireless transmitter also includes four HDMI inputs and component inputs ready to connect with your gear.
There’s also a HDMI splitter included that will allow HD signals sent to the main HDTV to also broadcated to a second HDTV which has been attached to the receiver.
The Air SyncHD/DX BV-2822 will be available for $299.99.
Philips Harmony 8000 Series DVD Component HiFi system announced

Philips released a few details today about its new Harmony 8000 series DVD HiFi system dedicated to audiophiles. The Harmony 8000 comes with ClariSound speakers to ensure a fine balance sound and bass. The ClariSound speakers also use a glass fiber woofer cone to ensure natural rendition of instruments and voice.
The Harmony 8000 features a CD/DVD player, a dock for iPod/iPhone as well as a USB port for media playback from external sources and a 2 X 80W RMS Class-D digital amplifier for your music listening pleasure.
Yamaha NPS2000 Network Player released in Japan

Yamaha has released a new network player in Japan today. The Yamaha NPS2000 will playback the media from home computer network from your PC or NAS drive to your HiFi system keeping the highest sound quality possible.
You will be able to play various formats such as WAV, MP3, FLAC, AAC and WMA through the Yamaha NPS2000 network player while the back panel comes with balanced audio outputs on XLR connectors to insure compatibility with integrated amplifiers and pre-amplifiers alike.
The new Yamaha NPS2000 network player is now available in Japan for 208,950 Yen ($2,523).

Combined with the company’s Movie Cowboy Xstreamer, the DC-MCNP2 supports a multitude of multimedia video formats such as MPEG-1/2/4, VOB, TS, WMV9/VC-1, XviD, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, AVCHD, RealVideo 8/9/10 (720/30p Max) and high definition audio in the form of MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG, AC3 and FLAC.
The Digital Cowboy DC-MCNP2 also features Digital Audio output with 7.1Ch of audio and HDMI connectivity as well as DLNA, USB host and FTP server.

Eminent EM7195 Media Player comes with twin DVB-T Tuner and USB 3.0

Eminent has released a new media player featuring support for a multitude of multimedia formats and twin DVB-T tuner built-in. The twin DVB-T tuner will allow users to watch a Freeview channel and record or schedule recording from another channel, a pretty handy feature if you think about it.
The Eminent EM7195 media player features the Realtek RT1183 DD C+ chipset which provides support for formats such as AAC, WMA, MP3, Dolby Digital as well as high definition multimedia formats such as H.264 or MKV. Another great feature coming with the Eminent EM7195 is its USB 3.0 port which will allow users to transfer their media at high speeds, Ethernet port as well as a card reader and a SATA port.
Users will be able to use their 1080p HDTV to browse through pictures, video and music with the aid of the built-in Media browser and schedule recordings for your favorite TV shows using the built-in EPG feature (Electronic Program Guide).

NAD’s VISO THREE Media Player announced

KWorld introduces its newest multimedia device to the world. I’m talking about the M120 home media player, a 1080p Full HD capable device which is also a good choice for your music listening pleasure or photo display on the flat screen.
The KWorld multimedia player supports a wide array of video formats such as WMV, MKV, AVI, MP4, MOV, TS/TP, VOB or MPEG up to 1080p Full HD resolution, as well as all the subtitle formats available (SRT, SUB, IDX etc.). There is also a good support for connectivity with the M120 multimedia player. There’s an USB 2.0 port on-board, HDMI, VGA as well as YPbPr & AV outputs.
