Philips has announced their new 6000 and 7000 series of Full HD LED TVs coming with WiFi connectivity and Smart TV capabilities.

What’s special about these two is the the dual screen gaming mode allowing users to watch two separate images when playing games on their console, thus leading to an improved gaming experience.

The Philips 6000 was first seen at the IFA 2011 and uses passive polarisation technology for 3D as well as 2D to 3D conversion, a popular feature that enables you to watch your old movie collection in 3D.

The Philips 7000 series features 800Hz Picture Motion Enhancement and use Active Shutter Technology in order to provide 3D.

Philips hasn’t said anything about pricing or availability for these two series, but they’re expected to arrive in the second quarter of 2012.

Sharp is getting ready to launch two new large screen HDTVs under the Elite brand. Sharp has partnered with Pioneer to produce the new Elite models – PRO-60X5FD and PRO-70X5FD coming in 60 and 70-inch screen sizes respectively coming with the highest image quality and latest technologies available on the market.

The Elite LED LCD HDTVs comes with RGB+Y technology, like Sharp’s own Quattron, adding a yellow sub-pixel to the standard red/green/blue color palette to produce a much broader range of color and creates higher brightness using less power and more accurately depicts vivid yellows and vibrant golds. RGB+Y technology makes possible Precision Color Plus, four sub-pixels composed of smaller dots, creating more than 8 million dots per screen for a much smoother, more appealing detailed image. The Elite TVs also includes Intelligent Variable Contrast technology that works with all of the other Elite technologies to automatically control brightness and backlight to create depth of color, brilliance, detail and dark areas. You can also expect Full Array LED backlight with Local Dimming, and FluidMotion for 240Hz smooth motion.

The Elite HDTVs are 3D-capable and comes with two sets of active shutter 3-D glasses. They are THX, THX 3D Display and ISF certified. The PRO-60X5FD andPRO-70X5FD both have built-in WiFi connectivity and supports video streaming services such as Netflix, VUDU and CinemaNow. The former is priced at $5999.99 and the latter at $8499,99.

Philips 6606H and 5605H affordable series available now

The company introduced its entire range of TVs, from entry-level to the high-end series. The Philips 5605H and 6606H series are part of the mid-range models from the company, and are the first to become available in stores.

Philips 6606H is available in sizes ranging from 32 to 55-inches, featuring a slim design, Pixel Plus HD and LED, coming both in black and white variants.

The 6606H range is now available on amazon.co.uk. The Philips 40PFL6606H will cost you £ 703 while the 46-inch version – Philips 46PFL6606H/12 will cost you £ 1105.

Th Philips 5606H is the affordable series coming from the company and is now available on amazon.co.uk in 32 and 40-inches.

Sharp X5 high-end Full LED range on its way

Sharp hasn’t come forward with its 2011 line of HDTVs just yet, however rumors have surfaced about the new company X5 range. Sharp X5 is the company’s high-end range of HDTVs featuring 60 and 70 inches screen sizes and Full LED local dimming. The X5 is the successor of the XS1 series from Sharp.

The X5 models are the LC-60X5 and LC-70X5, while the features coming with the couple are pretty high-end. There’s LED with local dimming along with scanning backlights, Sharp’s Quattron technology introducing the forth yellow pixel to the RGB range 200/240Hz.

The Internet features are also present with these two models through the company’s Aquos Net+ service, along with Skype, Wi-Fi, and USB playback with DivX support.

As with almost all high-end HDTV’s introduced this year, users will be able to remote control your new Sharp X5 HDTV with the use of your iPhone or Android smartphone. Reportedly, the X5 models will also include an on-board hard drive for media storage and dual tuners.

Sharp has announced these two models to be available in August 2011.

Sony BRAVIA KDL46EX720 and KDL46EX520 are now ready for shipping

Sony has started shipping their mid-end and lower-end flat panel ranges announced back in January at the CES 2011. The Sony EX520 and EX720 ranges are now available for shipping for customers in the US.

The EX520 is the replacement for the 2010 popular EX500 model while the EX720 is a mid-end model and comes with a slightly higher price in comparison to the the EX520 range.

The features announced with the EX520 and EX720 ranges include 3D, BRAVIA Internet and improved picture quality. The 2011 EX520 and EX720 ranges also include improved Smart TV features as well as the use of your smartphone to remote control these models. Sony also announced that it has implemented 3D capabilities to the lower-end models in its line-up.

The Sony BRAVIA KDL46EX520 is now available at amazon.com for $988 while the 46-inch KDL46EX720 is now available for $1,300.

Sharp has announced today their new flat panel TV model for 2011, which has been dubbed LE830. Sharp didn’t reveal much about its new HDTV at CES 2011, but prefered to wait until the right time to reveal its new addition to the company line-up.

The new Sharp LE830 replaces the 2010 model, the LE820 in the company’s line-up and is prepared to hit the market in April. The LE830 impresses its audience coming in an extremely slim design featuring LED backlight, Smart TV capabillities and WiFi, for wireless connectivity to your home network.

Sharp introduces an extremely thin design with its LE830 model, with the aid of the new Edge LED technology which has helped it reach an impressive 2.5 cm in size. Aside from the minimalist design, the LE830 comes with high-end features such as a 200/240 Hz scanning backlight system, Sharp’s Quattron panel as well as the Smart TV capabilites.

Full HD 3D LCD-LED

The three E3 televisions utilize 60Hz technology with 1080p resolution. To further enhance the entertainment experience, the E3 series introduces Easy IPTV, a web entertainment solution offering 3 Movie sites – CinemaNow, Netflix, and Amazon; 2 Music sites – Napster and Pandora; 1 Social Networking site – Facebook. The top of the line LCD/LED TC-L42D30, a 42-inch class (41.6” measured diagonally), available in April ($1149.95) features a 1080p IPS Alpha panel with 120Hz Motion Picture Pro 4 technology contributing to the set’s overall pristine picture quality. In addition, the new flush glass design adds a sleek, fresh cosmetic to the TV. To enhance and expand the entertainment quotient, Panasonic’s proprietary IPTV solution VIERA Connect is featured. The TC-L42D30 also includes the Viera Image Viewer, providing the consumer with an easy method to view digital still photos and H.264 HD video recoded on a SD Memory Card.

HD LCD

The TC-L32C3, a 32-inch class (31.5” measured diagonally) HDTV is a 720p HDTV with the IPS Alpha Panel. In addition, the LCD TV features two HDMI connectors; a PC Input; Viera Image Viewer and Viera Link. The TC-L32C3 will be available in March, 2011, with a SRP of $399.95. The TC-L24C3 is a 24 –inch class (24” measured diagonally) featuring Viera link and Viera Image Viewer, and will be available in June with a SRP of $299.95.
The LCD U3 series includes two models, the 37-inch class (37” measured diagonally) TC-L37U3, currently available ($599.95) and the TC-L32U3, a 32-inch class (31.5” measured diagonally) HDTV, available in March with a SRP of $499.95. Samsung D7000 and D8000 3D LED TVs for the South-Korean market

Samsung has announced its new 3D LED TVs for the south-korean market in an event held this week.

The new Samsung D7000 and D8000 3D LED TV models come in a very slim design and features such as a Full HD resolution and a wide viewing angle in order to accommodate a larger audience.
