Panasonic WT50, DT50, ET50, E50, ET5, E5 and X5 LED LCD HDTV Series
People have always looked to Panasonic to bring the highest quality panels and for the first time, this year, the company ventured into the realm of large screen LCD-based displays.
Panasonic has avoided making large-screen LCD HDTVs like these because the company didn’t want costumers to take their eyes of the company’s Plasma displays and offer a more affordable solution.
This year, it seems that Panasonic has changed the strategy so instead of pushing their quality, yet pricey Plasma TVs, the company has decided to launch its own series in order to bring some competition on the LCD LED TV market offering three new LCD TV series, which have been dubbed WT50, DT50 and ET50.
So, if you’re looking for Panasonic quality in a LCD LED TV, you’ll be able to find it this year, in the form of five 47-inch models and three 55-inch models, coming with all the goodies a 2012 TV should have.
Panasonic WT50 3D LED LCD Series
Leading the pack in 2012 is the WT50 series of LED LCD displays. Panasonic has decided to equip the WT50 displays with an IPS panel and 1600Hz backlight scanning that’s able to reduce motion resolution.
The WT50 displays are LED backlit, feature active-shutter 3D capabilities and 2D-to-3D conversion, while the Smart capabilities are handled by a dual-core Pro4 processor that can also handle multitasking. The sound quality was also a point of interest with the WT50 series as these three models come with 8-Train speakers.
The Smart TV platform has been improved further this year and you’ll be able to enjoy an enhanced version of Panasonic’s Viera Connect IPTV via the built-in WiFi.
The design is truly appealing as you can see from the photo and the WT50 models feature a “Super Narrow” metal frame and a grey Crescent Stand that lend a classic yet stylish look.

The WT50 LED LCD series features three new models ranging from 42 to 55 inches in screen size. These have been dubbed TX-L42WT50, TX-L47WT50 and TX-L55WT50.

Panasonic DT50 3D LED LCD Series
The DT50 series is not that different in comparison to the WT50.
The features are pretty much the same for the two models in the DT50 line: you'll find an IPS panel with LED backlight and 1920 backlight as with the the WT50.
There’s a slight difference in design though, as the DT50 has been equipped with a different stand and a wider metal frame.
You will also be able to enjoy 3D content with the DT50, as well as 2D-to-3D conversion and 8-Train speaker that enable the two DT50 models to deliver 3D Real Sound.
The Smart TV capabilities are present as well through the built-in WiFi feature. There's no touchpad remote coming with the DT50 unfortunately.

The DT50 series comes in two models measuring 47 and 55-inches in screen size, namely the TC-L47DT50 and TC-L55DT50.

Panasonic E50 3D LED LCD Series
Next in line is the Panasonic E50 series, once again bringing the same IPS LED LCD panel, this time with 360 scanning backlight in order to deliver crisp and colorful images. You will be able to enjoy once again online content due to the built-in WiFi feature and share it with friends and family thanks to the social networking options coming with these models.
The E50 series from Panasonic comes in three models ranging from 42 to 55 inches in screen size, which have been dubbed TC-L42E50, TC-L47E50 and TC-L55E50.

Further down the ladder we can find the E5 series of LED backlit LCD displays from Panasonic. The E5 series brings three new models ranging from 32 to 47 inches in screen size, all coming with 1080p resolution and the same IPS LCD panel.
You will also get Smart features if you buy one of these three models, namely the TC-L32E5, TC-L37E5 and TC-L47E5.

Panasonic ET5 LED LCD Series
The ET5 series of LED backlit LCD TVs comes with all the goodies we can find in the higher-end models – the WT50 and DT50 series.
The three models in the ET5 series all come with the LED backlit IPS LCD panel, active 3D technology and Full HD 1080p resolution.
When you purchase one of the three models in the ET5 series you will also get four pairs of polarized 3D glasses that will be most likely enough for your entire family to watch 3D.
The differences come in terms of design and this time you’ll be able to find just 360 scanning backlight. You will need to connect your ET5 model to the Internet via the built-in WiFi in order to enjoy online content or browse web pages.
The ET50 series comes with three new models ranging from 42 to 55 inches in screen size.

Panasonic X5 LED LCD Series
If you’re looking for a budget LED LCD display in 2012, the Panasonic X5 series is worth your attention.
The X5 brings the smallest Panasonic HDTV this year, a 24-inch model featuring 1080p resolution. It could be considered as an option for a gaming display as it once again features a gaming mode, a PC input and a USB port.
The 32-inch model of the X5 series comes with an IPS LED backlit panel and 720p resolution, USB port, PC input and media player.
The X5 range comes with two new models measuring 24 and 32 inches in screen size, dubbed TC-L24X5 and TC-L32X5.

Panasonic TC-L42U5 LED LCD HDTV
The U5 series brings only one model, namely the TC-L42U5 that drops the LED backlight and replaces it with CCFL backlight. The TC-L42U5 is a 42-inches LCD TV, featuring a 1080p Full HD resolution and three HDMI ports.
This could be considered a budget display for gamers because it comes with a PC input, game mode and one USB port.

These are the new LED LCD HDTVs from Panasonic coming in 2012. There's no information about pricing at this time, however it shouldn't be very long before we can find them online.
