The X5 models are the LC-60X5 and LC-70X5, while the features coming with the couple are pretty high-end. There’s LED with local dimming along with scanning backlights, Sharp’s Quattron technology introducing the forth yellow pixel to the RGB range 200/240Hz.

The Internet features are also present with these two models through the company’s Aquos Net+ service, along with Skype, Wi-Fi, and USB playback with DivX support.

As with almost all high-end HDTV’s introduced this year, users will be able to remote control your new Sharp X5 HDTV with the use of your iPhone or Android smartphone. Reportedly, the X5 models will also include an on-board hard drive for media storage and dual tuners.

Sharp has announced these two models to be available in August 2011.
