CES 2011: VIZIO’s line of Theater 3D TVs range from 22 to 71 inches
VIZIO takes 3D TV very seriously this year. The company just announced its 2011 line of 3D TVs ranging from 22” to 71” in size. These 3D TVs from VIZIO bring the new passive 3D technology to the table, forever ditching the uncomfortable active 3D shutter glasses, everyone has come to loathe, and replacing them with much cheaper 3D glasses.
We’ve already talked about the Vizio’s XVT3D650SV, the 65” model with passive 3D technology, which now gets some company in VIZIO’s 3D line-up. Vizio’s 2011 line of Theater 3D TVs will support a variety of 3D formats including SENSIO HiFi 3D, Frame Packing, Side-by-Side, Top and Bottom and RealD. The novelty introduced by VIZIO’s Theater 3D models translates into a better viewing performance and a more comfortable viewing experience than your regular 3D display.
The bad news is that the big bother of this line-up, the 71-inch Theater 3D TV is for display only at the CES 2011 and will not be available for sale very soon. However there are no more than 21 models in VIZIO’s line-up, so it’s almost impossible to not find something to your liking.
Some other features coming with VIZIO’s line-up of Theater 3D TVs include Full Array TruLED Backlighting with Smart Dimming or Edge-Lit Razor LED Technology with Smart dimming, depending on the model. VIZIO’s XVT and M Theater 3D models also come with high-definition audio support. Again, depending on the model you will find in your spec list, either SRS StudioSoundHD, SRS TruSurround HD or SRSTruVolume.
All 2011 VIZIO models include 802.11n Wi-FI for easy access to the company’s VIZIO Internet Aps (known as VIA).You’ll be able to access online content from Netflix, Pandora, Rhapsody, VUDU, Amazon VOD and even tweet directly from HDTV. VIZIO’s XVT3D476SV and XVT3D556SV are part of the company’s new VIA Plus line, coming with Google TV and VIA Phone and VIA Tablet compatibility. All of these are easily accessible through VIZIO’s Bluetooth remote control featuring a QWERTY keypad.
You can find some of the most important features for each model in the 2011 VIZIO line below.
Prices haven’t been announced for the new VIZIO Theater 3D TV models just yet, however it is expected that at least some of them will become available for purchase in the first quarter of 2011.
