The Sony BDP-S780 is a 3D Blu-Ray player coming with 2D to 3D upconversion and Super Bit Mapping, Smoothing and Chroma Processing technologies to ensure smoother color gradation, says Sony. Further more, the Sony BDP-S780 comes with enough networking capabilities to satisfy even the most pretentious costumers. Sony’s Bravia Internet Video platform offers access to Internet streaming services such as Hulu Plus, Netflix, Amazon VOD, Pandora, YouTube, Slacker and Sony’s own Qriocity platform for Video On Demand. The Sony BDP-S780 Blu-Ray player will be available in April 2011 for $250.

The Sony BDP-S780 captured most of the attention at the show, but the other 2011 Blu-Ray player models are nothing to sneeze at either. The BDP-S580, BDP-S480 and the BDP-S380 are the models completing Sony’s line-up for this year. Except for the BDP-S380, the other devices come with 3D capabilities and are also compatible with Sony’s HomeShare line of wireless audio products. The wireless audio line will allow you to play audio streams from network devices using your home Wi-Fi network. A perfect addition for either model in the 2011 Blu-Ray player line, seems to be the SA-NS400 Wi-Fi network speaker.
Sony’s BDP-S580, BDP-S480 and BDP-S380 Blu-Ray player models are expected in March for $200, $180 and $150, respectively.

The Sony BDP-S580 is available at amazon.com right now, for $181. The Sony BDP-S480 is available for $161.
