CES 2011: Panasonic DMP-BDT310, DMP-BDT210, DMP-BDT110 and DMP-BD75 Blu-Ray Players introduced
Panasonic introduced its VT30, GT30 and ST30 HDTV series for 2011 and now its time for the Panasonic Blu-Ray players to take the stage. The company brought to CES 2011 four new Blu-Ray players for everyone to admire. If you visit the Panasonic booth you will be able to preview three new Blu-Ray players with 3D capabilities, the Panasonic DMP-BDT310, DMP-BDT210 and the DMP-BDT110 and one 2D player, the DMP-BD75.
The new 3D capable line of Blu-Ray players comes equipped with network capabilities, a must in today’s market. You will be able to access the popular streaming services like Hulu Plus, Netflix or Pandora through the Panasonic’s VIERA CAST feature available with each of these players. The VIERA CAST service will be available through the wireless support on-board for the DMP-BDT310 and DMP-BDT210 while the DMP-BDT110 will require an adapter for Wi-Fi connection, sold separately. Panasonic has also announced a software update for the VIERA CAST service, which will add Skype functionality to the usual menu, a pretty pleasant surprise.
Panasonic has also announced 2D to 3D upconversion with all the 3D capable models, which will enable users to give a 3D feel to an older 2D movie if they desire. This feature comes with most 3D-enabled devices today, to complement the lack of 3D content available on the market. Also announced with the 3D capable Blu-Ray player models from Panasonic is the 3D Effect Controller feature, which will aid costumers to “control the leaping effects of 3D images”.
Panasonic has also announced that costumers will be able to remote control the higher-end models, the DMP-BDT310 and DMP-BDT210, with the aid of their smartphone, by just installing a free app, which also includes a QWERTY keyboard useful when searching for titles in the huge media libraries.
