ASUS O!Play MINI drops USB 3.0 support
The O!Play media streamer range from ASUS introduces its new addition, the ASUS O!Play Mini. The ASUS O!Play MINI drops the support for USB 3.0, previously introduced by the ASUS O!Play HD2 media player, sporting just one USB 2.0 input as well as full HDMI support and multi-format card reader. You will be able to playback a number of formats supported with the O!Play MINI, including MPEG 1/2/4, MKV, Xvid and H.264 at 1080p Full HD resolution.
There’s also great audio support coming with the ASUS O!Play MINI, as this device comes with 7.1-channels of surround sound available and HD audio decoding support for Dolby Digital, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD high definition audio formats. There is no networking implemented with the O!Play MINI, so won’t be able to access extra content from the Internet streaming services that are so popular right now. You’ll be able to purchase the ASUS O!Play MINI for $91 in January 2011.
